Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to recover from dermal-needling
Most people can resume day to day activieties immediately after dermal-needling. Day 1 - some redness and sensitivity, slight tightness and warmth. Day 2 -3 days redness subsides, some dryness, rough textutre or flaking may appear, skin may still feel tight and a bit itchy. Day 4-5 Flaking usually starts to shed off, revealing fresher skin, skin looks smoother and clearer. Day 7 Most people are healed by visible irritations. We include a coplimentry LED light therapy session to help speed up the healing process.
Is the treatment painful?
It can be uncomfortable, but it usually not painful when done professionally by a trained practioner and with our exceed device that is the only device that feels bearable without numbing cream.
Why do you not provide numbing cream in dermal-needling?
Topical anesthetics, like those in numbing creams, can constrict blood vessels and reduce blood flow, which is crucial for stimulating the natural inflammatory response that leads to collagen and elastin synthesis. This vasoconstriction can interfere with the skin's repair and regeneration processes, potentially lessening the overall benefits of dermal-needling. Good news is our exceed device is less painful dermal-needling device on the market and can be performed without numbing cream.
How many treatments do I need?
It will depend on your skin goals that we are working on, generally speaking at least 3 treatments 4-6 weeks apart and 3-6 treatment for acne scaring and age managment.
