Exceed is a medical, micro needling device clinically proven and FDA, TGA, CE, ISO certified to visibly minimise and improve fine lines, acne scarring, pore size, uneven skin tone and skin texture.

The device utilises fine needles to cause controlled micro channels in the skin, which trigger a cascade of growth factors. This causes a growth of fibroblast cells, produce collagen, elastin and GAG’s in the papillary and reticular layer of the dermis. This process leads to skin and collagen regeneration, reduction of enlarged pores, wrinkles, scarring and improved skin texture.

All micro needling treatments include cooling mask, aftercare balm, LED treatment to help enhance healing.

 CONTRA-INDICATIONS & AFTER CARE

It’s important to understand that micro needling is not suitable for everyone and there are some direct contra-indications that prevent you from having this treatment.


Direct Conditions that would mean you were not able to have this treatment:

  • Haemophilia, blood clotting problems (ie poor wound healing)
  • Papulopustular rosacea
  • Acne Vulgaris stage III-IV
  • Severe solar keratosis
  • Undergoing chemotherapy or immune therapy
  • Connective tissue disorders / auto immune disorders (e.g. lupus)
  • Long term use of Prednisone and other steroid medications (treatment will increase inflammation)
  • Pregnant/Nursing
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Anticoagulants / Blood thinners (including but limited to Warfarin or aspirin)
  • Nickel or stainless steal allergies
  • Scleroderma
  • Collagen vascular diseases
  • Medications
  • Diabetes
  • Fungal skin infections
  • Impaired skin barrier
  • Auto immune diseases
  • Raised moles

  

 

AFTERCARE

To ensure the best outcomes post treatment, the following steps are

recommended:

• Immediately following treatment, Oleogel Plus Balm are advised.

• No Suncream the day of treatment - Suncream can be applied the next

day and must always be worn to protect the skin.

• Commence regular skin care regime as per normal 5 to 7 days post

treatment (skin dependent).

•  A derma bespoke facial and LED will be booked in 5-7day post treatment.

 

Direct Contraindications After Treatment:

• No sun exposure

• No exercising for a minimum of 24-48 hours

• No saunas, hot showers/baths or swimming

• Limit alcohol consumption (vasodilation)

• Facial waxing, electrolysis, IPL or laser treatments must be avoided for 3

weeks following treatment

• Botox and other injectables must be avoided for 3 weeks following treatment

• Re-commence home rolling 7 days post clinical treatment.

• Please avoid the use of skin care products containing any of the following active resurfacing ingredients for up to 5-7days: alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), glycolic, lactic or malic acid, beta hydroxy acid (BHA) including salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids (including but not limited to), tretinoin, retinol and retinaldehyde, hydroquinone, high levels of kojic or azelaic acid.

    How does it work? Using single use surgical-grade micro-needles. Stamping motion induces a wound healing response. This results in millions of controlled micro channels created in the skin to trigger the body to naturally heal and stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres.

    Are treatments painful?
    Exceed micro needling device helps minimise discomfort, unlike other needling devices numbing cream is not required in this procedure. However, numbing creams can be requested but most clients can tolerate it very comfortably.

    What results can I expect?
    We recommend 3 to 6 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart. This may depend upon your skins requirements and will be discussed further during consultation.

    What can I expect after my treatment? The day of the treatment your skin appears slightly pink, similar to that of mild sunburn. This will subside within 24-48 hours. You will notice the best skin results one week post treatment, with results continuing to improve week after week. There is minimal downtime and if needed, mineral make-up can be worn 24hrs after treatment. The regeneration and repair process will tighten the skin and may start to reduce pigmentation. The process will continue over the following months, providing natural and long lasting enhancement.
